How we calculate
The decree of February 29, 2024 requires income of at least three times the threshold for exemption from healthcare costs, which comes to about €24,800 per year. In practice, many consulates ask for close to €28,000, and we use that figure as a safer reference for the main applicant.
For family members we use €9,900 for a spouse and €4,950 per child, a conservative estimate. [confirm amounts with the consulate and the partner lawyer]
Besides income, the visa requires high qualifications, at least 6 months of remote work experience, health insurance and housing. See the full visa guide.
