Tips for your documents
- Request recent full-text (long-form) certificates: many offices only accept documents issued in the last 6 months.
- Get the apostille before translating, so the apostille is translated too.
- Bring originals and copies. Italian offices ask for photocopies and almost never make them on the spot.
- After you arrive, you have 8 days to apply for the permesso di soggiorno.
This is a general list. The consulate for your area may ask for extra items.
